I took an internet stock photo of a random Kingdom Hall sign. That Kingdom Hall is in Georgia.
There is a post up right now showing where all the Kingdom Halls are being deleted.
i just found out from my jehovah's witness cousin that my old congregation is being shuttered due to lack of elders, less than 20 members attending, and that the congregation cannot meet their monthly expenses.. here is a congregation that was started in 1975 with less than 15 members.
it grew to 185 members in the 1990's.
the congregation grew so large that the elders decided to split the congregation in two.

1290 jw congregations have been deleted since 4th dec 2022. i have a full map so you can explore active/deleted congs, and also orphaned halls https://analytics.jws-library.one/viewmap.html.
many of the deletions in the usa appear to be foreign language groups.

That is one fantastic find! I just started a post :
My old congregation is being dissolved. My brother's congregation is being dissolved. My cousin's congregation is being dissolved. Close to 1300 congregations are being dissolved. Is anyone awake yet?

What is the location of this Kingdom Hall?
The congregations that are disbanding are in two different suburbs close to Chicago. The only congregations that are expanding are the Hispanic congregations.
I remember when my congregation was remodeled. We took out a loan for $60,000. Every member was asked for a monthly payment to pay off the loan. Some members paid $20 a month. Now they are being asked to find another Kingdom Hall.
Does anyone know if congregation remodeling loans are made by local banks or the Watchtower Society?

Here is a Kingdom Hall in Minneapolis, Minnesota up for sale for $625,000. Since the Watchtower Society owns this facility, they shut down this congregation ( with dwindling numbers ) and put the facility up for sale. The faithful witnesses funded and helped build this Kingdom Hall, received no pay for their labor. The congregation members who maintained this property have no say in the matter. They dedicated their lives to Jehovah with nothing in return. All they receive is a new assignment to another Kingdom Hall that may be a greater driving distance.
I think the Watchtower Society are using the dwindling membership as a fine opportunity to sell off as much real estate as they can, to pay off all the lawsuits that have been settled and new ones that are pending.

With so many members passing away, some moving to Florida, a few divorces, teens leaving in droves and no new recruits, both congregations are being shut down. All remaining members are being told to attend their nearest congregation.
After giving their precious time, years of dedication, money donations and years of fellowship, the remaining members need to ask themselves, ''Where is this so-called ''Jehovah's Blessing?''
It saddens me that these remaining members refuse to admit that the Watchtower Society does not have their best interest in mind; only the survival of the Watchtower Society Corporation and its business interests!

May 1945: Gusen Concentration Camp. Martin Poetzinger (seated front row, second from left) poses with 23 other survivors shortly after their release.
FROM FINDAGRAVE.COM:
Martin Poetzinger, a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, finished his earthly course in the evening of Thursday, June 16, 1988,at Brooklyn Bethel.
He was born on July 25, 1904, in Munich, Germany. He was baptized on October 2, 1928 in symbol of his dedication to Jehovah God. He then entered the full time evangelizing work on October 1, 1930. He enjoyed various assignments in Bulgaria, Hungary, and Yugoslavia. Shortly after his marriage in 1936 to his wife Gertrud, they were arrested by the Nazi goverment and sent to concentration camps for nine years. After cruel imprisonment, he and his wife were reunited in 1945. Shortly after this, Martin began serving as a travelling overseer, visiting congregations and offering encouragement to the Witnesses in Germany. Martin attended and graduated from the Watchtower Bible School of Gilead in 1958, and in September 1977, he was appointed to serve on the Governing Body at world headquarters in Brooklyn, New York.
Atlantis: Most experiences are false, exaggerated and a little twitching to make them more encouraging to all Jehovah's Witness members.
I did a little research. A brother Martin Poetzinger really did exist. I think they added in paragraph 7, “Jehovah, thank you for my new assignment. Help me to strengthen and encourage my brothers.” No one would ever say that while undergoing cruel imprisonment in a Nazi concentration camp!

nowwhat?
I would like to think prayer can help bring comfort. But that's it. There are no miracles, no Jehovah's hand, no intervening on an individual's behalf!
I would like to ask the posting member who gave a dislike on nowwhat? post:
If you brought to a hospital ( where you very sick and needed urgent medical care ), would you prefer:
a : a room where you, your family and minister prayed for God's medical intervention, left you without the care of nurses, doctors or medical equipment
b: a room where medical care was provided by nurses, doctors and medical equipment

STUDY ARTICLE 21
14 A sister named Soo Hing felt that Jehovah helped her by means of her doctor. Her son suffers from several mental health problems. When he was involved in a terrible accident, she and her husband resigned from their work to care for him. As a result, they had financial problems. Soo Hing said that she felt like a rubber band that was stretched to the limit. She poured out her heart to Jehovah, asking him for help. The consulting doctor took an interest in their case. This led to their receiving government assistance and an affordable place to live. Afterward, Soo Hing said: “We saw Jehovah’s hand in this matter. He truly is the ‘Hearer of prayer.’”—Ps. 65:2.
Soo Hing and her husband have financial problems. ( who doesn't?) She prays to Jehovah for help. Jehovah answers her prayers by having the consulting doctor take an interest in her case. They receive government assistance and an affordable place to live.
Jehovah answers their simple prayer.
7 We may need to change what we pray for as we discern Jehovah’s will more clearly. Consider the example of Martin Poetzinger. Soon after getting married, Brother Poetzinger was imprisoned in a Nazi concentration camp. At first, he asked Jehovah to let him out of the concentration camp so that he could care for his wife and resume his preaching work. However, after two weeks, he saw no indication that Jehovah was opening the way for him to leave. So he began praying: “Jehovah, please show me what you want me to do.” He then began to think about what the other brothers in the camp were going through. Many of them were very worried about their own wife and children. Brother Poetzinger then prayed: “Jehovah, thank you for my new assignment. Help me to strengthen and encourage my brothers.” He spent the next nine years in the camps doing exactly that!
Martin Poetzinger prays to Jehovah for his release from a ''CONCENTRATION CAMP.''
Does Jehovah hear Martin's prayers and release Martin from a brutal Nazi concentration camp? NOPE!
Jehovah has Martin spending nine years in the concentration camp, with the happy assignment of strengthening and encouraging the brothers, instead of caring for his wife and be a free man!

In 1977 ( I was 18 years old), I attended a Led Zeppelin concert at the Chicago Stadium. Sat in the 10th. row. Loved every second. I took photos of the band and bought a poster to put up in my wall.
The next day, I hung up the poster and went to get my photos developed. The photos came out so well, I had them enlarged and put into photo frames.
Several days later, I get home from work and see that my poster is ripped from the wall and my framed pictures are all ripped into pieces. I ask my Jehovah's Witness mom,'' Who took my poster down and who ripped my photo frames?'' She tells me that since I listen to ''DEVIL MUSIC,'' and since the band in the poster all look like freaks, she did. I never forgave her!
Did your parents or you as a parent, do anything that showed your self-righteous disapproval?
i have not attended any kingdom hall meetings in 10 years.
the elders gave up on me a while ago.. the last 3 years i get phone calls to listen in to zoom meetings.
listened in several times... nothing has changed!
Plot twist: There WAS no Bethelite or slide presentation. She already knows.
Slide presentation? 😳 That was a curve ball. Almost busted!
Usually, my elder brother and his kids call with the Zoom I.D. and passwords. They never call me the next day to see if I Zoomed in the meeting.
I'm beginning to agree with everyone that she threw a curveball to see if I really Zoomed in the Memorial. My cousin is too nice to throw me under the bus. We never discuss anything pertaining to the meetings and my lack of Kingdom Hall attendance.
I think she called to have a real discussion, but soon figured out that I never Zoomed in and kindly didn't want to embarrass me.
